What are the main differences between artificial intelligence and machine learning? Is machine learning a part of artificial intelligence?


Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are two very hot and tremendous buzzwords right now which are used often in each and every where.But generally they are not the same thing, but the perception that they are can sometimes lead to some confusion. So there are quite differences between these two words which are thought to be worth writing a piece to explain the difference.
Artificial Intelligence comprises of two words “Artificial” and “Intelligence”. So moreover Artificial is something which is made by humanbeings or which we can the nonnatural thing and that of Intelligence means ability to understand or to think. There is a always a misconception that Artificial Intelligence is a system, but it is not a system.AI is implemented in the system .Therefore there are so many definition of AI like “It is the study of how to train the computers so that computers can do things which at present human can do better.”Therefore It is a intelligence where we want to add all the capabilities to machine that human contain.

Similarly one more word is Machine LEARNING which is the learning of machine, where one can learn by its own without being explicitly programmed. It is an application of AI that provide system the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience. Here we can generate a program by integrating input and output of that program. So one of the simple definition of the Machine Learning is “Machine learning is the science of getting computers to act without being explicitly programmed”.
Artificial Intelligence is one of the broad concept of machines which are being able to carry out tasks in a way that one could consider to be as “smart” where as Machine Learning is another way of concept of the current application of AI which is based surrounded by the idea that one  should really just be able to give access to machines for data and let them learn for themselves.
Artificial Intelligences is that device that is  designed to act as intelligent that are often classified themselves into one of the two fundamental groups i.e applied or general. Applied AI is far more common where  systems are designed to work as possible as intelligently trade stocks and shares, or maneuver an autonomous vehicle would fall into this category.
Where as Machine Learning applications can read text and work out whether the person who wrote it for making a complaint or conveying congratulations. It can also listen to a piece of music, decide whether it is likely to make someone to be happy or sad, and find other pieces of music to match the mood. And more over in some cases, they can even compose their own music expressing the same themes.
In general cases AI is that systems or devices which can handle any task and are less common in theory, but this is where some of the most exciting advancements and innovatives are happening today. It is also the area that has led to the development of Machine Learning which is most probably referred to as a subset of AI but in general cases it is more accurate to think of it as the current state of art.
Machine learning is sometimes shows example of humanbeing brain which operates, neural networks having many connections between nodes and layers of nodes.As similar to the human brain,ML Training algorithms uses the networks, when input is given in the form of data which is entered in the system, it will figure out, learn, decide, etc. what the best course of action is. Big Data which uses a mssive amount of data ,the algorithm and network learn shows how to accomplish goals and improve upon the process i.e the extensive connectivity known as deep learning.
So with these basic information of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning one can easily plan to choose their carrer which usually helps in every day to day life of these world of industries.
